Thursina International Islamic Boarding School (Thursina IIBS) Malang demonstrates a high level of concern for high-achieving orphans and the underprivileged. To recruit these students, Thursina held the selection process for the 2025 Thursina Young Leader Scholarship (TYLS) on Sunday, November 30, 2025, at the Thursina IIBS Boys' Campus in Malang.
This program is part of the institution's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, aimed at the community—specifically for high-achieving orphans, underprivileged students with academic or non-academic accomplishments, those who have memorized 20 juz of the Al-Qur'an (tahfidz), and students with proven track records in various fields.
The 2025 TYLS selection was organized to provide access to quality education for prospective students who possess leadership potential and merit but face economic constraints. Through this program, Thursina IIBS offers scholarship opportunities within an international-standard boarding school environment that integrates the national curriculum, Cambridge curriculum, intensive Al-Qur'an memorization, foreign languages, and character building. Public enthusiasm was evident from the participation of candidates arriving from various regions and diverse educational backgrounds.
Ustadz Mohamat Taufik, M.Ed., Chief of the Secretarial Office at Thursina IIBS, stated that this scholarship program is the institution's ongoing commitment to being more present and supportive of the community.
